US President Joe Biden attended three campaign fundraisers on Saturday and sought to reassure his most generous donors, arguing that he is capable of winning the presidential election despite his chaotic performance in the televised debate with rival Donald Trump’s predecessor. “I didn’t have a good night, but neither did Trump,” the Democratic candidate claimed at one of the fund-raising events organized in the states of New York and New Jersey, in the northwestern US. “I promise you that we will win this election,” he added.
