I had never sung “Evidencias”, says Sandy when talking about his new film

Singer Sandy Lee stated that she had never sung the song “Evidências” — by José Augusto and Paulo Sérgio Valle, but which became famous in the voices of Chitãozinho and Xororó — before recording her new film, “Evidências do amor”.

The statement was given in a CCXP23 panel this Thursday (30), alongside the film’s director, Pedro Antônio Paes. The film is expected to premiere in 2024.

“I had never really sung. I don’t go to karaoke, my life is karaoke. I had already sung excerpts very informally, [no filme] I sing all the way through,” said Sandy.

The film will tell the story of a couple (Sandy and Fábio Porchat characters) who met at a karaoke, singing the song “Evidências”. They separate at a certain point, but he starts traveling to the past every time he listens to the song.

“This film has many genres, it has a science fiction thing, it has a lot of comedy, it has a romance part. The most important thing is that the film is good”, says Valle.

Sandy was asked if she asked for the blessing of Chitãozinho and Xororó (her uncle and father) to make the film, she also stated that she learned more about the song with the new work.

“I learned more about the story of ‘Evidence’ making the film than before, but I learned more from them here, from the film, because before it was just a really cool song, very important in my father’s career, but from that came a whole story, a whole universe of this film.”
