The husband of influencer Jennifer Soares Martins, who died after being swept away by a flood made a post on social media about his wife’s death this Sunday afternoon (24).
Known as Jhei Soares, the influencer passed away during a flood in the early hours of Sunday in Uberlândia, in the Triângulo Mineiro (MG). A video recorded the moment when the woman holds on to a car and tries to save herself from the flood.
Wallison Lima held on to the vehicle with his wife, but survived the strong current. He made a post on social media mourning Jennifer’s death: “I just wanted her back “, he wrote.
The husband was also swept away by the flood, but managed to save himself. Wallison and Jennifer were together for over 14 years having been married for eight years. The couple celebrated their last wedding anniversary on April 20, 2024.
They used to make several posts on social media on trips, outings, parties and other celebrations with their family.

In a statement, the Government of Minas Gerais, through the State Civil Defense Coordination (Cedec), stated that the victim, identified as Jenniffer Soares Martins, aged 28, got out of a car – which began to flood due to the storm – and, after a collision with another vehicle was swept away by the flood.
“We inform you that the situation in the city of Uberlândia is under control. Electricity, water supply, internet and telephone services were not affected. There are no islanded communities or blocked highways,” stated the Government.
Known as Jhei, the victim was an influencer and accumulated more than 57 thousand followers on social media where he published fashion, everyday life and makeup content.
Moments before the incident, the woman came to publish a story on Instagram with the caption “Going to be ‘xovem’ [jovem]”.
The Civil Defense of Minas Gerais also adds that monitors events related to the rainy season in the state. “[a defesa] It supports municipalities in response actions, such as declaring an abnormal situation, distributing humanitarian aid, preparing work plans to raise funds for reconstruction, among other measures”, highlighted the organization.
