I.O.AS. & Wolt join forces to distribute road safety

Responding to a key issue in the distribution industry, the Road Safety Institute (IOAS) “Panos Mylonas” (IOAS) and Wolt join forces to develop an information campaign on empowering and raising awareness of distributors on the principles and methods of safe motorcycle riding.

According to a relevant announcement, the aim of this initiative is to inform the professionals in the distribution industry, who use a small two-wheeled vehicle, about the basic rules of road safety that they must follow in order to remain safe for themselves and those around them. In the framework of the cooperation, short informative videos will be created, which will have as their central axis the cultivation of the traffic education of the drivers of two-wheeled vehicles for the avoidance and prevention of traffic accidents.

One of the most important messages of the campaign will be how daily, small and seemingly “innocent” actions prove to be crucial for the health and safety of distributors by preventing accidents. It is noted that access to the videos will be free and open to all driver-distributors regardless of whether they work with Wolt, as the aim of the initiative is to promote road safety in the daily movements of all motorcyclists.

The President of the Road Safety Institute “Panos Mylonas”, Vasiliki Danelli-Mylona stated: Continuously and consistently for the cultivation of a culture of road safety and the prevention of road accidents, we are even more satisfied that in this effort we have a company with social sensitivity that wants to contribute to the development of healthy standards and a safer environment for all. Given that Greece has the highest proportion of deaths in Europe in terms of cyclists, with the majority occurring in residential areas, this initiative acquires even greater value and we hope that it will contribute significantly to the goal of eliminating deaths and injuries. from traffic. ”

Dimitris Karelos, General Manager of Wolt for Greece, Cyprus and Malta, noted that: “As Wolt, promoting road safety, we seek to be part of the solution to a problem that plagues Greek society.” He added: “For all of us at Wolt, the safety of our distributors is a non-negotiable value and our main concern. That is why we support this action by contributing to the IOAS vision for safe drivers on safe roads.”

As part of strengthening the support of distributors, Wolt already from May 2021 provides 100% free private insurance to all its partner distributors. The insurance plan includes insurance coverage and compensation in case of accident during distribution and covers the most frequent cases of injuries and consequent medical, dental and medical expenses, as well as more serious events.
