President Donald Trump said he wants Iran to prosper but will not allow Tehran to have nuclear weapons.
“We will not let them have a nuclear weapon,” he said at the Oval Hall on Wednesday (9). “I want them to thrive. I want Iran to be a great country. The only thing they can’t have is a nuclear weapon. They understand that.”
While the United States and Iran are preparing for direct nuclear negotiations, Trump did not give a deadline for when I would like to see a favorable conclusion. However, he said the US will take military measures if necessary.
“If military action is needed, we will take military action. Israel will obviously be very involved in that. They will be the leaders in this. But no one leads us. We do what we want to do,” he added.
