“I want to wash my beautiful hair”: Trump reverses restriction on water pressure

President Donald Trump, after complaining about it for years, signed an order to suspend restrictions on water pressure in the showers on Wednesday (9), saying that he wanted to take care of his “beautiful hair”.

Trump’s decree aims to reverse measures of efficiency and water conservation taken by the last two Democratic presidents, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

According to a White House informative leaflet, Trump “will end the war caused by Obama and Biden about water pressure and make the US showers great again.”

“Overdue regulation chokes the American economy, harden bureaucrats and suffocates personal freedom,” says the informative leaflet.

Trump ordered the energy department to revoke a rule that began by Obama and resumed by Biden that limited the flow of each shower in the market to 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) of water per minute.

The order suspends water use restrictions on basically any water that uses water, such as toilets and dishwasher.

“In my case, I like to take a good shower and take care of my beautiful hair,” said Trump during the signing ceremony at the Oval Hall. He said that, according to current rules, he needs to be under the shower for 15 minutes, which he called ridiculous.

“Let’s open it so that people can live,” he said.
