The fashion accessories that we buy most often are definitely shoes, bags and bijoux. Then, there are the other categories, the ones we buy a little less frequently and for which we do a lot of research. THE hats, for example, are among them. Why, let’s face it, sometimes we look at them with suspicion.

Who hasn’t wondered a thousand times if he would really show it off? The truth is that we are not used to wearing them and therefore, at times, we let ourselves be intimidated by the new. But one thing is certain: a nice headdress is one of those pieces to have in the wardrobe. Even just one, but special.

So we did a research to understand the trends and to find the news of the season, immersing ourselves in a truly fascinating world. The result? Many brands (some already famous, others less so) that have different styles and stories but all with a common denominator:craftsmanship.
There are some for every mood and every budget, from the most classic to the hippie one, from the most sophisticated to the easiest. Some have great family traditions behind them and others, younger, instead focus everything on upcycling and do-it-yourself.

These are just some of the many representatives of this sector, find out what they are …

WE DARE, LIKE THE ENGLISH
In England, unlike us, they use them a lot and appreciate their value, both as an object and as a characterizing element of style. In short, they understood that hats are a further extension of our personality.

Even the royals know this well, for every ceremony they show off a different hat, in perfect harmony with their look and, even more, with their image. We take from them, and we dare more!

HAT: THE EXTENSION OF OUR STYLE

But wearing a headdress is not just a habit of big events. THE hats they are a special accessory, to be chosen with care and, once you have found the right one, to wear every day. Made of straw, felt, crochet cotton or silk satin.

Or in sponge. Like these that creates the New York slow fashion brand Picnicwear. Their Towel Hat, in fact, they are all handmade with remnants of recycled sponge.

Or like these of Lorna Murray, an ethical and sustainable Australian brand. Her signature headdresses are all created with natural materials.

OUR SELECTION BETWEEN CRAFTSMANSHIP AND DO-IT-YOURSELF

We’ve dug up the hottest hats to keep an eye out for, but we’ve grouped them too the latest news, including collaborations and special launches. Find out which ones are in the gallery above. And good hat to you!
