IaaS and PaaS to Bring Cloud Providers $ 400 Billion in 2025

Analytics firm IDC has prepared a forecast that looks at the revenue of providers of public cloud services by segment. In this forecast, in particular, it is expected that the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) segments in 2025 will bring providers together $ 400 billion.

This forecast assumes 28.8% CAGR for the IaaS and PaaS segments from 2021 to 2025.

According to analysts, the largest segments of the workload by revenue share will be application development and testing, analytics and structured data management. Analytics and unstructured data management and media streaming will be the leaders in terms of growth. In these segments, the average annual growth rate will be 41.9% and 41.2%, respectively.
