The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) opened, on Thursday (9), a tender to hire a census taker for the 2022 Demographic Census.
In total, 48,535 vacancies for complete elementary level were opened across the country, with a duration of 3 months, which can be extended.
The census taker’s main role is to interview residents during the collection of information.
The recommended working day for the role of census taker is at least 25 hours per week, in addition to full and mandatory participation in training.
Registrations
Enrollment in the contest is free, and can be done through the IBGE website, at www.ibge.gov.br/pss-complementar. To participate, the candidate must complete and submit the application form.
Applications are open until Wednesday, June 15th. Upon contracting, it is necessary to present the original documentation or a certified copy.
Wage
Remuneration will be per production, calculated by census sector, according to a fixed rate and prior knowledge of the census taker, of census units (urban and/or rural households), type of questionnaire (basic or sample), census persons and record in the collection control of data.
On its website, the IBGE provides a simulator to calculate the estimated value.

The census taker is responsible for carrying out the work of collecting data through interviews with residents of a given region, either in person or by telephone. In this case, he will contact the 2022 Population Census audience.
