In May, the French restaurant La Casserole complete 70 years of its inauguration. To celebrate this milestone in style, Marie-France and Leo Henry, daughter and grandson of the house's founders (Madame Touna and Roger Henry), have prepared a series of new features for the next seven months – one for each decade of history.
The tribute focuses on the pillars of La Casserole, such as the close ties with the visual arts and the music the fact that it is a French bistro with a São Paulo soul the historic location in front of the flowers in Arouche and the appreciation of table service.

May: tasting menu with guest chefs
The festivities begin in May with the launch of the Tasting Menu created by seven chefs who worked in La Casserole's kitchen. The menu will be available to the public for dinners from Tuesday to Thursday, until the end of the month. Just like the restaurant, the menu brings tradition and modernity by balancing the essence of its cuisine with the original work of the guest chefs:

June: drinks menu from award-winning Chula Barmaid
At the invitation of Marie-France and Leo Henry, award-winning Chula Barmaid created a menu of signature drinks inspired by French classics.
Moving away from the beloved citrus bases and sours spread throughout the city, Chula looked to the 1950s for references to achieve a fine result, with minimalist and elegant presentations. Bringing the cuisine to the glass, the new menu is structured like a menu, dividing the cocktails into starter, main and dessert – a section in which creations inspired by the emblematic petit four and crème brûlée appear.

July: flambéed dishes
Finishing dishes at the table, one of La Casserole's hallmarks, meets the charm of fire in one of the restaurant's most beloved menus. Throughout the month of July, in São Paulo's winter, waiters are responsible for bringing customers the last stage of the preparations started in the kitchen.
The menu has options such as escargots flambéed in cachaça and steak au poivre in cognac.

August: musical nights
The musical tradition that has accompanied La Casserole since its inauguration will also be present in the celebrations: throughout the month of August, the house will host names from the São Paulo music scene, always on Tuesday nights and curated by Suzana Salles, a singer linked to the Vanguarda Paulista cultural movement.

September: fine arts
Celebrating the visual arts and national artists, in September La Casserole dedicates part of its space to increase the visibility of the work of seven Brazilian visual artists. With this, the restaurant honors events that marked its trajectory such as “At the Table with Picasso” and the exclusive opening of MASP for a guided tour of the Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition followed by a themed menu in the restaurant.

October: wines
In October, three wine labels commemorating La Casserole's 70th anniversary will be launched. The first, Bordeaux, is named after the restaurant and will become the “house wine”. The other two, from the Meursault region, pay homage to Roger and Fortunée Henry, in a limited edition with just 70 bottles of each.

November: masquerade ball
A special soirée will close the celebrations with a flourish: a masquerade ball inspired by the parties that Roger and Fortunée attended on cruises and in Europe.
