Icons in Windows 11 scroll on hover, but this is not a bug

With the release of the latest pre-release builds of Windows 11, a funny Easter egg appeared in the system: the settings icon in the form of gears scrolls when you hover over the mouse (or rather, when the cursor leaves the button area). One of the first to notice this was Reddit users using Notepad as an example – there the icon is located in the upper right corner under the window control buttons.

The Verge drew attention to the fact that the innovation applies not only to Notepad, but also to the Task Manager – in it the gear is already in the lower left corner.

This innovation is clearly not a joke of some of the developers, which will be removed with the release of a stable build. Microsoft has officially announced that it is going to animate some icons and icons, but apparently it is only now getting around to implementing its ideas. The Start icon, for example, has been animated from the start.
