If Apple’s idea is built into Windows: collapsed widgets that Microsoft didn’t think of

With the release of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, Apple seems to have opened a new direction in interface animations: the idea of notifications and menus emerging from the cutout in the screen was received warmly in most cases, even Xiaomi and Realme became interested in it. However, the “tablet” in the new iPhones is also played up with new mini-widgets that appear on the sides of it when minimizing applications. This implementation inspired the designer @zeealeid to create the concept of something similar in Windows 11 – it turned out to be interesting.

The idea is that when you minimize supported applications, miniature dynamic widgets should appear in the taskbar instead of the usual shortcuts. For example, when the music player is minimized, a widget with a pause button and a progress bar should appear at the bottom, and in the case of a stopwatch, the countdown should continue.
