IFO: Fewer German companies feel threatened than during the pandemic

A survey conducted by the influential German economic institute IFO showed on Monday that “far fewer German companies feel their survival is in jeopardy now than at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic”.

“7.5% consider that their economic survival is threatened,” revealed the results of the survey.

Klaus Wohlrabe, head of IFO surveys, noted that “at the height of the pandemic, these figures were much higher, at 21.8%. In the face of the sharp economic slowdown, companies are showing great strength.”

“The current rate of inflation is one of the main concerns for retailers,” Wohlrabe added.
