The delivery company iFood became one of the most talked about issues on social media this Tuesday (7). Some of the customers said that, despite the payment being approved, the restaurant’s request was not accepted, and the money was not returned.
Through Twitter, users complained about the instability in the application.
“I placed an order on @iFood, paid via pix, it was deducted from the account correctly, but the app didn’t confirm the payment… It just sat there counting down as if I hadn’t paid and now I can’t complain or get my money back. Not even the restaurant answers the AAAA tel”, said one of them.
“iFood give my money back, plis”, “My boyfriend made a pix on the iFood and did not accept? There’s no snack and they haven’t refunded the money” and “What’s going on that I made two orders I took off the card and no order appears in the app??? Let’s fix it!!!!”, said another user.
People also complain about the lack of assistance from support, where they are only directed to an electronic call, without the problem being resolved.

According to DownDetector, which monitors sites and apps that aren’t working, there is a spike in user complaints that started around noon. 49% of the most reported problems were related to the mobile app, 38% to checkout and 12% to the website.
The DownDetector graph shows an overview of problem reports sent over the last 24 hours, compared to the usual volume of reports by time of day.
iFood reported that Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company’s main service management platform, has been experiencing an increasing error rate for some of its services throughout the day.
This instability had an impact on part of the services provided by the iFood platform. The iFood technology team has adopted a contingency plan to ensure end-to-end services and is closely monitoring, together with AWS, the unfolding of actions for a complete solution to the problem.
