Ikea withdraws Heroisk and Talrika cups and plates from the market

Ikea is facing a nice puzzle: the Swedish giant has just announced that it has withdrawn from the market, for safety reasons, some of its best-selling items. It is about plates, bowls and cups from the Heroisk and Talkira series, which we will no longer see on the shelves of its megastores because they can break and cause burns if they contain hot food.

A precautionary measure: «Safety – writes the company in a press release published on the website – has always been a priority for IKEA. All our products are tested and approved in accordance with the strictest standards and laws in force. Nonetheless, there have been reported cases of product breakage. For this reason, as a precaution, we are withdrawing from the market the plates, bowls and cups of the Heroisk and Talkira series. These items could break and cause burns if they contain hot food and drink. ‘

In communicating it, the company warns customers that can bring Heroisk and Talkira items to any store, where they will receive the refund even if they do not present the receipt.

It is not the first time that Ikea withdraws products from the shelves: among other recent cases, the bib Matra, with a button that could have come off, risking suffocation, and Kullen dressers, potentially dangerous for children.
