IKEA has released a Bluetooth speaker with a lamp in a retro design. It’s the first speaker to feature Spotify Tap for one-touch music service access. Previously, this feature was only available on headphones.
The marketing images show the lamp indoors, however it should work great outdoors thanks to its rechargeable battery and IP65 rating. You also get a USB-C cable for charging.
After setting up Spotify Tap through the app, pressing the power button on the lamp will automatically resume playing the last track. The second press will jump to a recommendation based on your listening habits.
Other than Spotify integration, the IKEA Vappeby Bluetooth Speaker Lamp offers no other features. The device is available for $ 65, but IKEA, we recall, has left Russia.
