Ikos Resorts announced the sixth consecutive addition to the hotel portfolio and the second placement in Corfu. The new unit, which will be called Ikos Odisia, is also located, like Ikos Dassia, which opened in 2018, in Dassia Bay and is scheduled to open on May 19, 2023.

The Investment

The building complex (after the acquisition of the former Club Med) is developing on an area of 242 acres, with 395 rooms, suites, bungalows and villas. In addition, Ikos Odisia will feature sports facilities and activities, 10 heated outdoor and indoor swimming pools and a 420-meter beach. The investment is estimated at 120 million euros.

According to the company, the five-star resort will work with local suppliers and create 700 new jobs, with at least half of the positions to be filled by islanders.

Ikos Odisia will be the sixth unit of Ikos Resorts, after Ikos Dassia in Corfu, Ikos Olivia and Ikos Oceania in Halkidiki, Ikos Aria in Kos and Ikos Andalusia in Spain. It is noted that the Sani/Ikos group is managed as co-managing partners by Stavros Andreadis, Andreas Andreadis and Mathieu Guillemin, with the support of investment schemes.

The plan in Crete

The group, after the acquisition of a total area of more than 200 thousand sq.m. in the bay of Kissamos Chania, is proceeding with the creation of the first hotel complex under the Ikos Resorts brand on the island.

The five-star Ikos Kissamos resort will have a total of 400 rooms, bungalows and villas that will stretch along a 600-meter beachfront. Its construction will begin in 2023 and its opening is expected in May 2025. To create the single area of 200 thousand square meters, the group acquired and consolidated more than 30 individual plots. The total investment of the Sani/Ikos group in Crete will exceed 125 million euros, while more than 750 new jobs will be created.

The opening to the Iberian Peninsula

In August 2021, it entered into an agreement with the Spanish Roxa group for the acquisition of Blau Porto Petro in Mallorca, with the aim of upgrading it to a five-star luxury resort, which will operate in May 2023 under the Ikos Porto Petro brand, while with the acquisition of the Alfamar Beach Resort in Algarve, Portugal, the group will operate in May 2024 the new Ikos Cortesia, after a complete reconstruction and expansion.

In addition, the Sani/Ikos group continues to develop its existing hotels, with the further expansion of both Ikos Andalusia in Marbella and Porto Sani at Sani Resort in Halkidiki.
