“13 installations were seized to ensure cryptocurrency mining, a SIM card with an Internet rock, a video surveillance camera with a flash drive, as well as an electricity accounting device,” said Irina Volk.
According to her, due to the work of the farm, overloading in electric networks was noted, and the inhabitants of a number of residential buildings complained about the drop in stress and the failure of household appliances.
On this fact, police officers opened a criminal case under the article “Causing property damage by deception or abuse of trust” (165 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The defendants in the case threatens to two years in prison.
Earlier, the Russian police discovered and eliminated the illegal farm for mining cryptocurrencies in the utility room of the industrial zone of the city of Karabulak in the territory of the Republic of Ingushetia.
