State authorities rescued several people who were trapped in the flood waters formed by the heavy rains.
Queensland Fire Department and fast -wate rescue teams attended more than 150 calls and withdrawals in the southeast of the state on the last day, the authorities reported in a statement.

The storm reached the state coast on Saturday (8) after it was relegated from category after 16 days as a cyclone. This eventually motivated the preparations of millions of residents.
The state capital, Brisbane, was spared the impact of the storm, which was also felt in the southern neighbor, New Wales of the South.
