Sustainable beauty and commitment to the planet: the Yves Rocher mission
The cleaning day of the Milanese Darsena is part of a Yves Rocher’s broad and coherent path of environmental commitmentwhich since it was founded in 1959 in La Gacilly by Monsieur Rocher, has been spokesperson for the power of plants. He does this not only by creating natural and sustainable beauty formulas, but by entrusting his mission to one roadmap of concrete actions. A program that takes the name of Act Beautiful and which has a dual objective: to make natural and sustainable beauty accessible and preserve nature and plants with a collective commitment. As regards the first point, Yves Rocher creates formulas based on 100% plant-based active ingredients, with over 95% ingredients of natural origin, as well as eco-designed packaging. Worth mentioning, in this sense, the partnership signed with Plastic For Changean association that deals with developing waste and waste recycling solutions Ocean Bound Plastic, i.e. the plastic that pollutes the oceans. From this new collaboration 120 tons of GRS certified plastic have been recovered along the coast of India (Global Recycled Standard), which Yves Rocher used to create the eco-refills of its new Bath and Shower line. The packs in the range are completely recyclable, made up of 90% plastic recovered from the coasts. Underlining the urgency of limiting plastic consumption without further delay, Yves Rocher launched the Refill Revolution initiativeoffering consumers a eco-refill for Bath-Shower products, reusable up to 5 times. The revolution has already begun: all we have to do is jump on board!
