A few hours before Christmas, Wednesday 23 December, Mika, fresh from the experience a X Factor and the success of I Love Beirut, the charity concert he organized in support of his city in October, decides once again to get involved andi sing for sick children in support of the association Imagine For Margo – Children Without Cancer. Live from the pediatric ward of the Curie Institute in Paris, Mika will interpret, live on Facebook starting at 4pm, some Christmas songs that will be accompanied by the piano and a gospel choir.
The concert, which will be available simultaneously on the official page of Mika and on that of the charity, will try to bring some warmth to all those hospitalized children who, due to Covid-19, have often been far from their loved ones due to protocols that prescribe increasingly limited and contingent visits. Mika, who has always been very active in charity, is godfather of Imagine For Margo since 2014, when he got to know their initiatives thanks to his photographer friend Peter Lindbergh, who portrayed him on several occasions together with the children helped by the association, whose aim is to accelerate the progress of research on childhood cancer.
Every year, in February, with the help of Mika and the free support of many French media, Imagine For Margo launches a new awareness campaign. During the whole live broadcast on Wednesday 23 December it will also be possible to make donations through the Facebook page. Together with the artist there will also be 100 Voix, the gospel choir with which he already performed at the last Sanremo Festival and in one of his great concerts at the Accor Arena in Paris Bercy. All this to offer an intimate moment of moral support for the children in the hospital, applying all the protocols necessary to ensure the safety of those present.
