Imamoglou’s first trial was postponed

The trial of Ekrem Imamoglou was postponed for June 16, which concerned his statements against the head of the Istanbul prosecutor’s office. This case was earlier than the cases that led to his arrest on March 19th and is not linked to them. The defense of the prisoner of Constantinople has reacted strongly to the fact that the trial was transferred to the Silibria Special Hall where he was held and not to the Istanbul Court of Justice and argued that the conditions for a fair trial were not met. Ekrem Imamoglu himself said: “I am here because I won the elections three times in Istanbul. “Anyone who wins Constantinople wins Turkey,” so I am a prisoner today.
