A new season of the interactive exhibition debuted this Wednesday (21). “Mission Mars” at the West Plaza Mall , in São Pualo. Organized by the International School in partnership with the International Space Academy (KSCIA), the space will cover 300 m² and will house replicas of objects used by astronauts.
“The first season of the exhibition was a success and we realized that Brazilians still have little access to information about this enchanting universe of space exploration. That's why we decided to renew the exhibition, including more educational and immersive activities so that children and young people can really get to know the planet Mars”, he says. Ulysses Cardinot CEO of the International School and creator of the “Mission Marte” project.
Aimed at children and young people aged 7 to 17, with open visits for families and school excursions, the exhibition is divided into two environments. In the first of them, the public will have access to artifacts brought from Kennedy Space Center in Orlando (USA), one of the largest space centers in the world.
Among the list of objects on display are pieces signed by Buzz Aldrin , the first man to set foot on the Moon; a replica of the helmet of Alan Shepard ; a jumpsuit worn by astronauts on space missions and a replica of the Perseverance rover created by NASA that is on the surface of Mars.
In the second environment, visitors can interact with themed activities about the space. In this debut month, they will have the support of experts to build a robotic hand – each month, a new dynamic will be presented.
In the new season, the exhibition will also feature a bilingual experience , in which adults and children will be able to enjoy programming entirely in English. For the general public, the session in English will always take place on Tuesdays, at 8pm.
