Unreleased series and films recorded in the format called “Apple Immersive Video” exclusively for the Apple Vision Pro glasses that promise to bring virtual reality, are being launched. The first short film made entirely in this format, titled “Submerged” got a trailer this Monday (7).
According to information from the Apple company itself, the “Apple Immersive Video” formats bring a 3D video recorded in 8K quality and with a 180 degree field of view . In addition, they have special audio in “spatial” format which seeks to transport viewers “to the center of the action”.
“Apple Immersive Video revolutionizes how people experience places, stories, sports and more by making viewers feel like they’re actually there,” said Tor Myhren, the company’s vice president of Marketing, in a press release.
“Submerged” is set during World War II, and promises many action scenes that promise to gain a new experience in virtual reality. The adventure chronicles the struggle of sailors aboard a submarine to survive a major attack.
In the trailer, scenes recorded underwater and moments of tension appear. The team also gives some details on how everything was filmed

“Submerged” is written and directed by filmmaker Edward Berger (“Jack”, “All Quiet”) and will be available from October 10th.
Other productions have already been launched in this format, such as the “Boundless” series.
The Apple Vision Pro device has been billed as “Apple’s first space computer.” According to the North American technology company, the device promises to transform “the way people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories and enjoy entertainment”. It has cameras and sensors that allow users to interact and control the screens just by moving their eyes and hands, or by activating Siri.
There is still no forecast for the Apple Vision Pro to arrive in Brazil.
In addition to the Apple Vision, other glasses with similar functionality were launched, such as the Quest 3S, launched by Meta in September this year.
