Etna’s volcano began to explode on Tuesday, with an impressive lava flow emerging from cracking at an altitude of about 3,000 meters above sea level. In the days before the explosion, the volcano showed increased activity, including ash emissions and several small gas explosions and magma from its southeastern crater.
