In a campaign for Massa, PT marketers reinforce attacks on Milei in Argentina

PT marketers working for government candidate Sergio Massa, in Argentina, reinforce their attacks on Javier Milei in the final stretch of the campaign. The first round of the presidential elections takes place this Sunday (22).

The PT team has been campaigning for the Peronist candidate since September. Advertisers try to prevent the opposition from winning in the first round.

Presenting himself as an “anarcho-capitalist” and outsider in politics, with ideas ranging from the dollarization of the economy to facilitating gun ownership, Milei is a declared fan of Donald Trump and received public support from former president Jair Bolsonaro.

The main role of marketers now is on social media, with content production and data analysis. They are taking advantage of the last few days to explore Milei’s controversial statements, such as attacks on Pope Francis.

Javier Milei went so far as to say that the pope has an “affinity with murderous communists”, but later apologized for the statement.

In recent days, Massa’s social networks have published content on meetings with young people, artists and cultural producers, in addition to a speech by the candidate with a request for Argentines to go to the polls with the country’s flag.

The marketers chosen by President Alberto Fernández’s candidate were Otávio Antunes, Raul Rabelo and Halley Arrais.

Otávio Antunes campaigned for the São Paulo government of the current Finance Minister, Fernando Haddad, in 2022, in addition to the campaigns of Gustavo Petró, in Colombia, and Efraín Alegre, the defeated candidate in Paraguay.

Raul Rabelo was in Lula’s campaign last year. Halley Arrais worked with candidate Edegar Pretto in the race for governor of Rio Grande do Sul.
