US President Donald Trump again dealt with the possibility of running for a third term – something forbidden in the United States. First, he said “not playing” about a new election. Then he said he didn’t evaluate this chance. At the same time, it showed irritation with the progress of the ceasefire in Ukraine.
The Republican said there are methods for him to be reelected and not playing with the possibility. But the American Constitution prevents a person from being elected president more than twice.
Already this Monday (31), he disconcerted about the subject. Trump said he did not investigate the case, but pointed out that “they say there is a way to do this, but I don’t know about it, but I didn’t consider it.”
To get a third term, Trump would have to change the American Magna Carta. But for that, it would need two thirds of the congressional votes and the confirmation by three quarters of the states.
Trying to avoid any change, Democratic congressmen seek to strengthen the legislature’s support to the twentieth second amendment of the Constitution, which makes it impossible for presidents to have more than two mandates.
Republicans, in turn, do not publicly disagree with Trump and put the statements just as a “joke.”
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt endorsed the party’s speech.
“You keep asking the president about a third term and he honestly responds honestly and honestly with a smile and all here ‘collapse’ about his replacement,” Leavitt said in a ironic tone.
Trump also climbed his tone against Russian President Vladimir Putin. The American said he was annoyed by Putin’s stance on peace negotiations in Ukraine and stressed that he will impose rates against Russian oil if conversations do not advance.
Shortly thereafter, however, he said he was confident in an agreement.
“I was disappointed in a way with some of the things that were said on the last day or two about Zelensky. Because when he considers Zelensky not reliable, he should be making a deal with him, like it or not, so I was not happy with that,” said Trump.
Kremlin avoided the confrontation and stated that Moscow and Washington continue to work together for a ceasefire, but that the process is slow due to the complexity of the subject.
The Russian government also said that both continue to cooperate to rebuild bilateral relations between countries. A new phone call between Putin and Trump to discuss the issue has not been discarded, but has not yet been scheduled.
