The governments of Sweden and the Netherlands have called on the European Union to adopt sanctions against Israel and Hamas in a letter to the European Union’s High Representative for foreign policy and has been aware of the French Agency today. The Netherlands and Sweden are calling on the Commission and the countries to adopt new sanctions aimed at Hamas’ political administration, “the extremists of Israeli ministers who encourage illegal settlement actions and actively opposes a two -state solution” It is signed by Swedish and Netherlands Foreign Ministers Maria Malmer Stegercard and Ruben Brekelmans.
