In a social network, Bolsonaro endorses Brazil’s position in the UN Security Council

Em publicação feita no Twitter na tarde deste sábado (26), o presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL) endossou a posição do Conselho de Segurança da ONU, que, na última sexta (25), por maioria, aprovou resolução que condena a invasão russa à Ukraine. FAB puts planes on standby for removal of Brazilians

Two KC-390 Millenium multi-mission aircraft were placed on standby for a possible transport of Brazilians evacuated from Ukraine. The information was confirmed this Saturday morning (26) by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).

“The aircraft are of the same model used in other international humanitarian missions: transporting donations to victims of the explosion in Beirut, capital of Lebanon, in 2020; and emergency support for the tragedy caused by the earthquake that occurred in August 2021 in Haiti”, reads a post on the FAB’s Twitter account.

The FAB or Itamaraty have not yet released details on where, when or how the removal of Brazilians will take place. Yesterday (25), the Embassy of Brazil in Ukraine informed of the clearance of a train for the transport of Brazilian and Latin American citizens. The train was supposed to leave the capital Kiev bound for the western city of Chernivtsi on Friday night.

Among the Brazilians in Kiev are dozens of players who play in Ukrainian football. In a broadcast and in posts on Instagram, the wife of defender Marlon Santos, Maria Paula Marinho, said they were told to go from the hotel to the train station in just over half an hour.

In a statement, the embassy warned that the “security situation and availability of transport in the city is unstable and subject to sudden changes, so it is not possible to guarantee departure or sufficient seats. Priority should be given to women, children and the elderly”.
