According to information, Vodafone Greece is very close to the agreement with WarnerMedia for the promotion of the HBO Max subscription platform through Vodafone TV, with competent sources stating that the two sides “are in advanced discussions”.
Essentially, Vodafone Greece follows the example of Vodafone Espana, which offers the HBO Max subscription platform through Vodafone TV as HBO’s exclusive partner in Spain.
Vodafone and HBO had signed since 2016 an exclusive partnership to broadcast the HBO Espana service on Vodafone TV. When HBO Max started operating in Spain last October, Vodafone started offering the subscription service as part of Vodafone TV’s service package.
A similar agreement is launched according to information for our country, as Vodafone Greece and HBO have exclusive cooperation from January 2020. Given that HBO Max will start airing in our country in 2022, its content is not excluded in a few months HBO promoted by Vodafone TV in our country to be replaced by HBO Max.

HBO Max offers HBO, DC and Cartoon Network channels, and one of the strong points of the platform is the screening of Warner Bros. movies a few days after their release in cinemas.

Finally, it should be noted that exclusive cooperation does not mean that in order to become a HBO Max subscriber you must have Vodafone TV. The service works just like Netflix and if the example of the rest of Europe is followed, it will come to our country with a monthly subscription of 8.99 euros.
However, Vodafone will be able to offer HBO Max service as part of the Vodafone TV package, at no extra charge or even as a subscription as part of a promotion for those who choose the company for fixed or mobile telephony connections.
