The Prime Minister of Albania responded via Twitter, Eddie Rama in the resolution of the European People’s Party submitted by New Democracy and with which the EPP requests Freddy Beleri to be sworn in as mayor of Heimarra.
“To which Albanian authorities are you addressing the resolution?” asks Eddie Rama in an ironic tone and continues with a scathing comment: “in this case they are not informed (including the European People’s Party) that the matter is not an electoral case but a judicial one and the courts have rejected such a request”.
The prime minister of Albania emphasizes in his post that “the justice institutions that ruled in this way were established with the full support of the USA and the EU.” and are strongly supported by them in their hitherto excellent operation against corruption and organized crime in the country” and concludes by saying that if deemed necessary, his government can inform the leadership of the European People’s Party on the matter.
Interesting! “We call upon Albanian authorities”… A call without specifying which authorities and, for sure, without being informed that the problem in this case is not the outcome of the elections, but the outcome of the courts, which have already refused such a demand ⚖️.

Edi Rama had positioned himself a little earlier at the session of his party’s Central Committee where he argued that “the independence of the judiciary is the great European bet for the party and its government” and succeeded against the jailed mayor Heimarra Freddy Belleri saying that “he is used in various ways by various people from Greece and Albania, since they even check his Facebook page for their own accounts”.
