In Brazil, Iron Maiden singer participates in fencing duel in Curitiba

O lead singer of the band Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson — who is in Brazil for shows on his solo tour “The Mandrake Project Tour” –, took advantage of his visit to Curitiba, capital of Paraná, to play fencing with Brazilian athletes at the Afonso Botelho Sports and Leisure Center.

The singer is a professional fencer and took the opportunity to duel with Brazilians Pedro Petrich, Alexandre Camargo and Clodoaldo Zafatoski.

Last week, Dickinson also received the title of honorary citizen of Curitiba. The project was approved due to the collaboration between the singer and the brothers Samuel and Paulo Cavalcanti, from the craft brewery Bodebrown, located in the Hauer neighborhood, which resulted in the collective creation of three beers.

The promotion of the new drink from Curitiba will take place during the artist's tour in Brazil.

Dickinson said he was “very honored” and when asked by Curitiba city hall about what he likes most about the city, the Iron Maiden singer commented on the activities he carried out on the day: fencing exhibition, motorcycle ride and beer tasting: “ This is all very good!”
