Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will travel to Brussels tomorrow, Monday 13 December, to participate in the European Union Foreign Affairs Council (EEC).
The agenda includes a discussion on EU-Africa relations, Central Asia and the post-election situation in Venezuela, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The issue of Varos, as well as the situation in Belarus and Ethiopia, will also be discussed under the heading “Current Affairs”. Specifically on the first issue, the participating ministers will discuss a relevant text of options for the European External Action Service and the European Commission, which includes proposals for the EU’s response to the ongoing Turkish delinquency in Varos.
As part of the SEY, the Foreign Minister will attend a working lunch with his European counterparts with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.
On the sidelines of the SEA, the Foreign Minister is expected to meet with Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde.
