Armed Forces, to enable a mechanism for the simultaneous counting of votes.
“The TSE itself invited the Armed Forces [a colaborar nas eleições]. We present suggestions. We present it and at the moment they say that they totally or partially accepted the suggestions. But there’s a very important one that tomorrow I’ll look into it better. They did not accept, or partially accepted, the most important one, which is the simultaneous counting of votes,” Bolsonaro said at CPAC (Conference on Conservative Political Action, in Portuguese).

Last Saturday (11), Minister Edson Fachin, president of the TSE, released a document presenting all 44 proposals received by the commission, 32 of which were fully or partially approved, one rejected and another 11 that will be analyzed in the next electoral cycle. According to the TSE president’s office, ten of the 32 approved proposals were authored by the Armed Forces, that is, almost a third of the total.
The day before the commission released the list of suggestions received and accepted, the Minister of Defense, General Paulo Sérgio Nogueira, sent a document to Fachin demanding that the TSE accept the Armed Forces’ proposals.
Nogueira also said that “transparent elections are matters of national sovereignty” and that “we are not interested in concluding the election under the shadow of distrust”.
