In fall, moving averages have lower indexes since January

Brazil recorded, in the last 24 hours, 256 deaths and 34,576 cases of Covid-19, according to data released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), this Friday (25).

In decline, the moving average of deaths is at 253, the lowest number since January 22. The moving average of Covid cases is at 32,735.

The indices consider the average number of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days. The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

In all, the country has recorded 658,566 deaths and 29,802,257 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

While the Ministry of Health is already recommending the fourth dose of the immunizer against Covid-19 for the elderly over 80, not half of the population eligible for vaccination has received the third dose, according to the folder.
