According to information from 24.kz, cryptocurrency mining companies in the country must work exclusively with accredited pools. This will allow the state to better control mining and ensure that all transactions with digital assets are transparent and do not violate the law.
It should be noted that licenses of the first type in Kazakhstan are issued to companies that own their own data processing centers and receive an electricity quota. Licenses of the second type are intended for organizations that rent equipment in data centers without an electricity quota.
The Association of Blockchain and Digital Mining of Kazakhstan noted that the introduction of new rules and the issuance of licenses helped the country cope with illegal mining, although two years ago “gray” miners were a serious problem for the state’s energy system.
Earlier, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARFRD) of Kazakhstan stated that banks will refuse clients’ transfers to crypto exchanges that are not registered with the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC).
