In Komotini, the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister spoke about the “Turkish minority”

From the city of Komotini, where he arrived early Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kiran kicks off private visit to Thrace.

Arriving in the city, he headed to the Turkish consulate where he was received by the consul Mr. Murat Omeroglou and the pseudo-muftis of Komotini, Mr. Ibrahim Serif and Mr. Xete of Xanthi.

In a statement in front of the consulate, he stated that “we are in Komotini, one of the most important cities of the Turkish minority in Western Thrace, after the (visit to) Thessaloniki”,

Tonight he will attend a hotel in the city of Iftar (dinner) as part of Ramadan, tomorrow he will visit Xanthi and later Didymoteicho from where he will return by road to Turkey.
