A cryptocurrency seller contacted Moscow law enforcement agencies, claiming that he had become a victim of robbery and fraud.

reported TASS, that on the eve of the metropolitan police was contacted by a citizen who claims to be trading in cryptocurrencies. He said that he was the victim of fraud and robbery.

The man at the agreed place met with the buyer of cryptocurrencies. In the course of the deal, he received a bag containing $ 1 million. At this time, two unknown men burst into the room. Threatening the victim with firearms, they took the bag containing the money and returned it to the buyer.

The man clarified that he traded stablecoins Tether (USDT), which he sold at the rate of $ 1. After the incident, the fraud victim was able to reach the buyer. The attacker claimed that there was a misunderstanding with his personal security and he would return $ 1 million in the near future. After that, the victim was unable to contact the fraudster. Moscow law enforcement agencies began to conduct a pre-investigation check at the request of the victim of the seller of cryptocurrencies.

In mid-October, a 24-year-old resident of Tomsk was robbed. Threatening with a pistol, the criminals stole 85 bitcoins, but in December the police were able to detain the criminal. In May, an entrepreneur from St. Petersburg lost 0.23 BTC, cash and funds from bank cards as a result of a robbery. The total amount of losses amounted to almost half a million rubles.
