The CEO of the Digital Platforms company, former executive director of the Russian Association of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain (RAKiB) Arseny Shcheltsin received several stab wounds right in the center of Moscow, the local prosecutor’s office reported.

On Saturday, June 8, in the Izmailovo area, an unknown man attacked Alexey Shcheltsin and his friend Ivan Pozdnyakov with a knife. As a result of his injuries, Pozdnyakov died, and Shcheltsin ended up in the hospital, where he remains to this day.

Correspondents of the Baza telegram channel and the Izvestia newspaper learned that the attacker turned out to be the leader of the rock group Paseka, Roman Medvedkin. The director of the group, Pavel Zhilov, confirmed that Roman Medvedkin was detained. The court must choose a preventive measure for the musician on Monday, June 10.

The Investigative Committee opened a case under the article of attempted murder of two or more persons. The reasons for the conflict between men are not entirely clear. Police sources say that the former top manager of RAKiB and his companion mistook the musician and his girlfriend for people looking for a stash of drugs.

Earlier, Turkish law enforcement authorities detained 127 people on suspicion of involvement in the work of the local crypto company Smart Trade Coin STC. The project attracted more than $31 million from investors.
