In Prague, They Decided To “change The Size Of The Russian Embassy,”

In Prague, they decided to “change the size of the Russian embassy,” having appealed to the Czech government with a demand to hold appropriate negotiations with Russia. The authorities of the Czech capital want to return part of the Stromovka park, “occupied by Russia,” where the embassy is located. The head of the municipality of Prague-7 Jan Chyzhinsky wrote about this on Twitter.

He stated that he would like to “change the size of the embassy to the state it was before the invasion of the Warsaw Pact troops on August 21, 1968.”

“After 53 years, Russia’s occupation of part of Stromovka should finally end,” Chyzhinsky stressed. He also noted on Facebook that this land “Russia took during the invasion in 1968” and “now is the time to return it for residents and guests of Prague.”

“The land still belongs to our state, unlike the embassy, which belongs to Russia,” the official said.

According to the local newspaper Novinky, this half hectare of land, which the politician writes about, belongs to the Czech Republic. During the 1968 invasion, soldiers occupied Stromovka, setting up camp and using the park as a base. Later, the territory of the USSR embassy expanded to part of Stromovka, thereby actually prolonging the “occupation regime” of the Russian Federation.
