This Wednesday (22), the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police are investigating the death of Hugo Leonardo Ribeiro de Oliveira, known as Léo Mídia, member of the Beija-Flor School of Samba Carnival in Nilópolis.
The press office of the Secretary of State for the Military Police reported that military police officers from the 20th BPM went to verify a murder on Avenida Doutor Manoel Reis, in Nilópolis, Baixada Fluminense, and found a dead person there. The area was sealed off and the forensics called.
In a note published on social networks, Beija-Flor lamented the death of Léo Mídia. “Active member of the carnival commission and active in several departments of our association. Leo devoted himself with a lot of love to blue and white. Beija-flor is in mourning”, says the excerpt of the note.
On a social network, Neguinho da Beija-flor, interpreter at the school, also spoke about the case: “Our dear Léo Mídia has just left us early. An excellent professional and friend. Rest in peace and may God rest and comfort the hearts of family and friends”.
In a note sent to CNN, the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police (DHBF) stated that it had opened an investigation to investigate the death of Léo Mídia. According to DHBF, the expertise was carried out on the spot and the body was sent to the Instituto Médico Legal (IML) in Nova Iguaçu.
According to the police station, security camera footage is being collected for analysis and officers are listening to the victim’s family and friends.
