The Russian authorities decided not to take a ban on mining cryptocurrencies in Khakassia and postpone the question of his year -round ban in the Trans -Baikal Territory and Buryatia. The decision was made during the meeting of the Government Commission on the development of the electric power industry, which was held by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, reports RBC Crypto.
Representatives of the Federal Assembly, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the regional authorities and a number of relevant departments decided not to prohibit the production of cryptocurrencies in Khakassia due to the fact that the energy deficit is not predicted there, and tax revenues to the regional budget may decrease.
For two months they postponed the consideration of the introduction of a year -round prohibition of mining in the Trans -Baikal Territory and Buryatia, where restrictions for the winter period are currently operating. It was decided to first evaluate the falling income of the electric grid complex and prepare a regulatory framework for the redistribution of miner power capacities in favor of social facilities.
The Ministry of Energy and the FAS is entrusted with energy companies in two months to develop measures to economic stimulation of miners to regions, where there is an excess of electricity and capacities.
A complete ban on mining for the next 6 years was installed in 11 regions of Russia, including the south of the Irkutsk region, where a seasonal restriction was first established. In April, he was tightened to a complete ban until the spring of 2031.
Nevertheless, the Angara region is still popular with gray miners. In early summer, the head of the region ordered the analysis of the energy consumption of the population to identify household miners. Power engineers will draw a list of suspicious objects monthly and send these data to law enforcement agencies and the tax service.
