In Russia, sales of Apple and Dell laptops fell sharply, while Huawei grew by 372%

The information publication RBC, citing its sources, today, October 24, reported that sales of laptops from Apple, Dell and HP have dropped significantly this year. For example, Dell computers began to be bought 90% less often – the manufacturer’s total sales in the laptop segment decreased from 15 thousand devices to 1.6 thousand, that is, almost ten times. This is just a catastrophic fall, although competitors are doing no better. Apple’s sales also decreased quite noticeably – exactly four times, and HP’s two-fold drop, although the latter company, apparently, was simply in such impressive demand that it had not yet had time to feel the new realities of the market.

Representatives of retail chains Citilink and M.Video-Eldorado confirmed information about a significant reduction in sales of laptops from these manufacturers, but it is worth saying that Chinese competitors are doing much better. For example, the Chinese giant Huawei showed an incredible increase in sales volumes – the company sold 372% more laptops than a year earlier, stepping over the mark of 33,300 laptops. HONOR also has a noticeable growth – the company has sold 113% more devices, at the moment the total volume of brand laptops is 20,700 copies.

However, the decline in sales of American laptop manufacturers has not yet affected the overall picture of the market. The list of leaders in laptop sales in Russia is still headed by American HP with an impressive share of 21% of the segment, followed by Lenovo with 18%, Acer with 13%, ASUS with 12% and Apple closes the top five – now it has only 8% of the laptop market . Most likely, the picture will change dramatically in the near future, as the share of American brands is gradually decreasing, while the Chinese giants are only increasing production and gaining momentum.
