The specialists of the Avtostat agency, having analyzed the structure of the market for new passenger cars in 2021, confirmed that in Russia, as in other countries of the world, SUVs and crossovers are preferred.
In the Russian capital, new SUVs account for 55% of sales, the exact same figure was recorded in the Moscow region. St. Petersburg, which closes the three largest automotive markets in Russia, boasts 57%.

On average in our country, crossovers and SUVs account for 51% of all new passenger cars sold, while in 44 regions this figure exceeds the average. The record share of crossovers and SUVs in Kamchatka and Sakhalin is 89%.
