In November last year it became known that Russia intends to shoot the first film in space with a woman in the lead role. This is a joint project of the Roscosmos state corporation, Channel One and the Yellow, Black and White studio, tentatively called Vyzov. At the same time, the film’s producers named the director and announced a casting for the main role, in which both beginners and well-known actresses took part. 20 participants got to the final, but the final choice fell on Yulia Peresild, who will fly to the International Space Station together with director Klim Shipenko, as well as stunt doubles Alena Mordovina and Alexei Dudin. Special training awaits the project participants, which will begin no later than June 1. It will include centrifuge and shaker tests, as well as parachute training. In addition, the film crew will perform training flights on an airplane in zero gravity. An expedition to the ISS is scheduled for October 5, 2021 on board the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft.
