The volume of sales of new electric vehicles in Russia in February 2021 increased five times compared to last year. This was reported in the press service of the analytical agency “Autostat”.
So, it became known that in February 2021, Russians purchased 75 new electric cars, and in February 2020 – only 15. Analysts believe that the reason for the growing popularity of electric vehicles is the premiere of two new cars at once: the Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-tron.
The most popular electric car among Russians is the Porsche Taycan sedan. In February, 32 copies were sold. The cost of the novelty is 6 million 580 thousand rubles. The electric car attracts drivers with its technical characteristics. So, the peak power of the electric motor is 408 horsepower, and the declared cruising range on a single charge is 431 km. It should be noted that the Porsche Taycan will need only 5.4 seconds to accelerate to a hundred. The top speed of the sedan reaches 230 km / h.
The honorable second place is occupied by the Audi e-tron, which appeared in Russia in the summer of 2020. 21 copies were sold in February 2021. The cost of the SUV was 5,595,000 rubles. The electric car accelerates to hundreds in 5.7 seconds, and its maximum speed is 200 km / h.
The three leaders are completed by Tesla Model 3: 12 copies were sold. The cost of a sedan on the Russian market starts at 3 million 200 thousand rubles. This is the most budgetary model of an electric car on the territory of the Russian Federation.
In addition to the above electric cars, the Russians purchased the Nissan Leaf hatchback (4 copies), Tesla Model X crossovers (3 copies), JAC iEV7S (2 copies) and Mercedes-Benz EQC (1 copy).
Recall that 687 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia in 2020. And this is 95% more than in 2019. Nissan Leaf became the leader in terms of sales (144 copies). Gray sellers offered fresh copies without a run at a price of about 2.5 million rubles.
