VTB has added a new way to collect tips in the VTB.Tip service – using the Fast Payment System (SBP). According to the press service of the bank, such a service is offered on the Russian market for the first time.

Now users can not enter bank card details manually, but complete the transaction in a couple of clicks. To leave a tip using SBP, you need to scan the QR code, enter the amount and select SBP as a payment method. After that, the client will open the application of his bank, where he will need to confirm the operation.
The work of VTB.Chaevs for entrepreneurs and employees of companies remains unchanged, and the service itself is free. You can collect tips individually or collectively, and no commission will be charged for withdrawing funds to a VTB card.
In addition, now users will be able to save card data in the VTB.Tip service itself. In the future, this will allow you to leave a tip in one place in any partner institution of VTB.Tchaev.
VTB Senior Vice President, Head of Digital Business Department Nikita Chugunov noted:
The disabling of Apple Pay and Google Pay led to the need to take additional steps when transferring tips – manually entering bank card details and a code from SMS, which more than halved the collection of non-cash tips. We have developed new ways to transfer tips effortlessly: through the SBP, as well as saving bank card data in the service. Today, this is the first example of paying tips in St. Petersburg in Russian practice and a good benchmark for the market.
