State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fedorov proposed to ban the work of departed foreign companies for 10 years, which will not return to the Russian market until May 1. Fedorov said that the companies that suspended the provision of services plunged tens of thousands of citizens into a state of uncertainty.
He stated this in a letter addressed to the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, a copy is at the disposal of RT: “I ask you to evaluate the feasibility of determining the conditions for the return of these companies: allow them to promptly restore their activities until May 1, 2022 or impose a ban on commercial activities for a period of ten years for those enterprises that do not wish to restore work in Russia before the proposed date.

On March 10, the organization “Public Consumer Initiative” announced the creation of a list of foreign companies that can undergo the procedure of nationalization in Russia. The list included 59 companies, including McDonald’s, Volkswagen, Apple, IKEA, Microsoft, IBM, Shell, Porsche, Toyota, H&M and others. The list has already been sent to the government and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
