The Russian AliExpress team announced the launch of a new feature on the platform. According to the press service, AliExpress Russia was the first marketplace in Russia to open the group shopping function for users.
In the AliExpress mini-application, VKontakte has launched a new “Group purchase” function, in which goods are available at a special price. The seller does not offer single products to individual buyers, but a whole batch at a reduced price, which users can buy back together. Every two days, the list of products available for purchase is supplemented with new offers. Until the end of the day, March 19, 2021, the function will be available to all users.
At the first stage, goods from local sellers will participate in the new section. The “Group Buy” function is already available to all sellers.
AliExpress Russia is a joint venture between Alibaba Group, Mail.ru Group, Megafon and RDIF.
