Poupatempo promotes this Saturday (19) the first task force of the month for the renewal of the National Driver’s License (CNH) in São Paulo. Drivers who had their documents expired between September and October 2020 and need to renew until March 31 of this year will be able to participate in the action.
The estimate of the State Department of Traffic of São Paulo (Detran-SP) is that approximately 200 thousand drivers are in this category. At the time, about 9,200 people will be able to be served, in places distributed in the service stations of the program.
To carry out the service in person, prior appointment is required within the usual opening hours of each unit. Priority will be given to those who have the license to expire this month and who need to make changes to the document, such as interstate transfer, for example.

In the case of drivers who have a CNH in categories C, D or E, it is also necessary to carry out the toxicological test in advance, as the result can be requested in the medical exam.
Renewal of CNH
To renew your CNH, simply access the portal www.poupatempo.sp.gov.br or the Poupatempo Digital app, click Services > CNH > Renewal of CNH. After confirming or updating the data, the driver schedules and performs the medical examination at the accredited clinic indicated by the system.
Those who exercise or wish to exercise remunerated activity must also undergo a psychological assessment, being directed to an accredited professional.
After passing the exams, it is necessary to pay the issuance fee and wait for the guidelines that will be sent by email by the National Traffic Department (Senatran) to access the Digital CNH, which has the same validity as the physical document, available in the application. Digital Transit Wallet (CDT). The security code to access the digital CNH can also be consulted through Poupatempo’s electronic channels.
At the end of the process, the driver will receive the physical CNH, by the Post Office, at the indicated address.
